NetPay is operated by Bluka Labs Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights.

2. What data we collect

Information you provide

• Email address, when you join our waitlist or subscribe to updates.
• Work preferences, hourly rate, tax code, shift patterns and similar settings you enter in the app. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you use a cloud sync feature.

Information collected automatically

• Device information, device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.
• Usage analytics, anonymised data about which features you use, session length, and error events. We use this to improve the app. No personally identifiable information is included.
• IP address, collected by our hosting infrastructure for security and abuse prevention only.

3. How we use your data

• To operate and improve the NetPay app and website.
• To send you product updates and launch notifications (where you have opted in).
• To respond to support requests.
• To comply with our legal obligations under UK law.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing

• Contractual necessity, to provide the app service you have requested.
• Legitimate interests, to improve our products and prevent fraud.
• Consent, for marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

5. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate NetPay:

• Apple App Store, app distribution and in-app purchase processing. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Netlify, website hosting and form submissions. Your waitlist email may be processed by Netlify.
• Analytics provider, anonymised, aggregated usage data only.

We do not use any advertising networks or sell data to data brokers.

6. Tax calculations, important notice

NetPay performs income tax and National Insurance calculations on-device using your entered preferences. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it. We do not store or have access to your financial figures.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:

• Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Support correspondence: up to 3 years.
• Anonymised analytics: indefinitely (not personal data).

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access, request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification, ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure, ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability, receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Object, object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request on our Delete Account page or email us at info@bluka.io. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting core functionality.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, encrypted storage, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

NetPay is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or via email. Your continued use of NetPay after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
